Sony, announced their latest line up of 1000X Series headphones here in Malaysia. The 1000X is known for it’s amazing sound quality and Noise Cancelling capabilities. But now, things got a lot better with the whole series. So, let’s take a closer look at their three different headphones.

Successor to the MDR-1000X, which stole the attention last year. The WH-1000XM2 is taking the game up a notch. It has the same Noise Cancelling technology along with the Ambient Sound Mode, Personal NC Optimiser and Quick Attention mode which we saw last year.

But this time, the whole process of controlling the headphones is done through Sony’s new Connect app for Headphones which let’s you take a lot of advantages over the rest. Like for instance, their Atmospheric Pressure Optimizer, improves the NC based in the environment you’re in, especially when you’re in the air. Worry not, if you’re a person who prefers to connect via the dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, it’s still possible.

The battery life on these new pairs of headphones, go up to a whooping 40 hours connected via audio cable and 30 hours on Wireless connection with NC On. With the Noise Cancellation off, it goes up to 38 hours. Previously, calibrating the NC is done through the headphones itself, but with the Sony Connect App it’s a new process. It’s a lot easier to control too.

The WH-1000XM2 comes in two different finishes, Black and Ivory.

Sony WI-1000X

This is for the music lovers that prefers In-ear headphones. They have a behind-the-neck design that holds the module on your neck. Interesting thing is that, these pair of headphones also has Noise Cancelling capabilities. It gives 10 hours of listening duration with the NC turned on and 13 hours with NC turned off.

These headphones have the capability to optimize the Atmospheric Pressure to give the best experience while on the move. It features a Hybrid Driver Unit with BA and 9mm dynamic driver that gives the rich audio experience throughout the listening period. Not just that, it also has a zip-style cable management and vibration alerts for incoming calls.

Sony WF-1000X

Sony finally jumps into the True Wireless earbuds bandwagon with icing on the cake, that’s the Noise Cancellation. These buds comes in a carrying case that let’s you charge your buds for 2.5 times. You can listen via these buds for 3 hours. Their small size and the 6mm drivers, gives an amazing feel and experience. So much that the moment you plug it into your ears, you won’t realize it’s even in your ears.

These headphones powers on right after you remove it from the case automatically and connects to the last device you were using it with. Making it the most easiest pairing experience ever.
