Electronics company Acer, has managed to win a whopping 12 awards at the iF Design Awards 2018. The company was notified in early February, and the ceremony will be held at the BMW Welt in Munich on 9th March.

Predator Gaming Devices, The Big Winner Of The Awards

Six of the 12 awards picked up by Acer were won by the Predator gaming series, including device, software and packaging designs. Predator products which won are the Orion 9000 desktop, Triton 700 notebook, X27 monitor, and X34P monitor. Also, the PredatorSense software along with the Predator Gaming Gadget packaging design, won too.

The other six awards picked up by Acer, were for a range of products. This includes the Acer Swift 7 notebook, Aspire S 24 all-in-one desktop, and the VGO series gaming monitor. In addition. Acer cameras such as Holo360 and Vision360, bagged an award each.

The Pawbo Wagtag pet tracker which provides real-time tracking of pets also managed to win an award. In a statement, Tiffany Huang, the President of Corporate Marketing, Business Planning and Operations at Acer mentioned that the firm is delighted to be taking home 12 iF Design Awards. This is due to the fact that it recognises the capabilities and work of the people in the relevant departments. Tiffany also mentioned that this is the first time the Predator series has led the way with its six awards.

The iF Design Award is organised by Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH annually.  Designs are judged by a 63-member jury, made up of independent experts of various nationalities. For this years edition, over 6,402 entries from 2,955 participants in 54 countries were received. Out of all the entries, only 1,218 iF award winners were selected, and 75 of them will receive the iF gold award.
