Honor has just launched its flagship handset of the year in Malaysia, coming in the form of the Honor 10.

With A Focus On AI

1/4

As is the trend with smartphones in 2018, Honor is focusing on the AI aspect of the Honor 10. With the NPU processor in the Kirin 970 chipset running the device, the cameras are supposedly loaded with AI. The dual rear camera consisting of a 24MP + 16MP setup, is able to detect 500+ scenarios in 22 categories in real-time. Meanwhile, a 24MP shooter sits on the front, coupled with AI portrait mode, which should give selfies a bokeh effect.

Also, the Honor 10 has gotten a number of design changes, which includes 2018’s latest trend; the notch. However, it can be hidden via an option in the settings. It also comes with a new Avant-garde design, which provides radiance from every angle.  This has been achieved through colour reflection coating technology, giving it a premium look. On the front, there is 5.84-inch worth of screen real estate. It is a FHD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080p, resulting in a pixel density of 432 PPI.

Memory wise, the Honor 10 packs 4GB of  RAM coupled with 128GB of internal storage. Keeping the lights on is a 3,400mAh non-removable battery which can be charged via the included USB Type-C port. Being Honor’s latest flagship, the handset runs on Android 8.1 Oreo along with EMUI 8.1 laid on top of it.
