Do you have a cool RM 7000 to ball on a new smartphone and you don’t want a mainstream smartphone like the Huawei P20 or the Samsung Galaxy S9? Well, Huawei has got the right product for your Moola. Months back, Huawei unveiled their new smartphone in collaboration with Porsche Design. All of us know for a fact that Porsche Design products costs a bomb and so does the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS.

Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS

1/3

On the front of the Mate RS, it boasts a 6″ 18:9 aspect Ratio display with no notch. But what makes this particular display even more exciting is the fact that it’s a 2K OLED Panel. Under the hood, the device houses a Huawei Kirin 970 processor with a Neural Network Processing Unit on top of 6GB RAM. The Mate RS comes in one storage configuration – that is 256GB, which is way more than enough for today’s standard.

On the back, the Mate RS features a triple-camera setup just like the P20 Pro. It houses a primary 40MP Color Sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, a 20 MP Monochrome sensor with aperture of f/1.6 and an 8MP Telephoto lens with f/2.4. Yes, it supports 960fps super slow motion video recording if you are into that.  As for the front, it has a 24MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0.

Another thing to know about the Mate RS is that – it comes with two fingerprint sensors on it. One of which you will find at the usual spot – located behind, below the camera. The other sensor is actually under the display. Yes, it’s an in-screen fingerprint sensor. So, you can choose according to your preference. Lastly, it has a 4000 mAh battery that also supports Huawei SuperCharge.

When someone is picking up the Mate RS. It’s not just for the specification. It’s for that design and exclusivity as this device is more like a black card because you’ll also be entitled for their exclusive VIP card that gives you access to Celebrity Fitness, Tealive, iflix and others. In terms of design, it sure does resemble like the Mate 10 Pro but with this, you’ll notice it has the Porsche Design logo all over it.

Pricing and Availability

We have mentioned it earlier in this article. The Huawei Mate RS will be sold for RM 6,999. Now that, Huawei is running an offer where they are giving 6% Cashback in conjuntion to the Zero Rated GST, you can pick up one at RM 6,603 with RM 396 cashback. Take note, this offer is available until 31st May 2018.

Should you pick up one? Well, if you have a lot of money and you want that status that shows finesse and lux, then by all means. But we have a feeling that, people would get the iPhone X as it’s 1k cheaper than the Mate RS, just sayin’. 😛
