In the recent updates on IFA, LG announced two new smartphones to the G7 series smartphones – the “LG G7 One and LG G7 Fit”. LG took a different route with their two new additions. Instead of using their own UI or OS, they went for AndroidOne – an OS that we see in affordable smartphones with mid-tier specification.

LG G7 One

The LG G7 One is the very first pure Android device from LG that unites their smartphone with Android One. The phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 combined with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Moreover, the device sports a similar design of the LG G7 ThinQ with a stylish metal edge for a smooth sleek appearance. Not to forget, it has an IP68 Certification for dust and water resistance. The display is powered by a 6.1-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) FullVision Super Bright Display exhibiting a 19.5:9 FullVision screen proportion and thin bottom bezel.

As for the camera, it packs a 16MP Standard Camera with an aperture of f/1.6. On the front, the G7 One houses an 8MP Wide Angle Camera with an aperture of f/1.9. Under the hood, you’ll also find a 3000 mAh battery that would last a day. To top it off, it comes with Bluetooth 5.0, support for 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Quick Charge 3.0 and a 32-bit Hi-Fi Qual DAC.

LG G7 Fit

The LG G7 Fit, also takes a different step. For the display, it has a 6.1” inch QHD+ FullVision Super Bright Display in the 19.5:1 ratio. Under the hood, you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Processor instead. Coupled with 4GB RAM and a storage choice of 32GB or 64GB which – of course – can be expanded via an MicroSD Card.

Once again, on the back we find the same camera MP count as the G7 One, but it has different apertures instead. The primary 16MP with f/2.2 and the front facing 8MP camera with f/1.9. Once again, the battery under the hood is a 3000 mAh capacity. Other than that, you get a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, IP68 Certification, Quick Charge 3.0 and 802.11 ac Wi-Fi Support. The Bluetooth is a step down – where the phone comes with a BT 4.2 instead.

Conclusion

In fine, the only thing that really differentiates both the G7 One and Fit would be the hardware of these offerings. So, what are your contemplations on the G7 One/G7 Fit? Is this the more moderate alternative you were searching for?
