This time of the year, it’s normal for companies to unveil their new lineup of Gaming Peripherals. Acer unveiled two of their new 27” 4K Monitors for Gaming. One of them is under the Acer Nitro branding whereas the other one is obviously is from their gaming centric brand, Predator. Meet the new Acer Nitro XV3 and Predator XB3.
Acer Nitro XV3 and Predator XB3
Starting off with the Acer Nitro XV3, this is their new 27” Monitor that can push 4K/2K UHD resolution for the ultimate gaming experience. The XV3 is certified for VESA DisplayHDR 400 – which means this monitor offers better contrast and color accuracy. There’s a Black Boost Technology which allows players to choose 11 levels of dark level adjustments that optimizes the display and gives you the upper hand in spotting the enemy. The XV3 comes with AMD FreeSync Support for a tearfree, smooth experience. Thanks to Acer VisionCare – you can play game for a longer period of time with no issues or discomfort to your eyes.
The Predator XB3 on the other hand, comes pretty much with the same resolution at 4K/2K UHD. This particular monitor has 4ms response time and the support for NVIDIA G Sync which allows you to overclock the monitor to 144 Hz refresh rate to get rid of those tearing and stutters. The display offers 90% of the DCI-P3 Color Gamut coverage for deeper and better blacks. Thanks the Quantum Dot technology and DisplayHDR 400 Certification, this definitely helps the gaming experience a lot.
It has Predator GameView, which lets you tweak and save 3 custom modes to switch between. Once again, you’ll also see features like the Dark Boost Technology and Acer VisionCare on this as well.
Pricing and Availability
The Acer Nitro XV3 is priced at RM 2,999 and will be available from Mid-November 2018 whereas the Acer Predator XB3 is priced at RM 4,599. The XB3 will only be made available later in December 2018. You can purchase the monitor via Acer Official Online Store and even authorized resellers nationwide.
