Back in September, Oppo sub brand, RealMe made their debut with their new smartphone lineup that claims to make a huge impact in the market for being an affordable smartphone. After unveiling it in India and Indonesia, they have made their way into the Malaysian Market. The RealMe 2 Pro is their new smartphone that happens to boast impressive specification for what it offers.

RealMe 2 Pro

1/7

The RealMe 2 Pro has a 6.3” FHD+ Display on the front with a screen ratio of 90.8%. This design was completely possible due to the Dewdrop (We call it the Teardrop/Waterdrop) notch that gives more room for a bigger display. Under the hood the phone rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE Processor that’s clocked in at 1.95GHz. As for the RAM and storage, it comes with 4GB + 64GB | 6GB + 64GB and a 8GB + 128GB Configuration. But for the Malaysian Market, we are getting the 4GB and the 8GB variant which is plenty enough for the task that we perform today.

On the back, the phone rocks a 16MP Camera with a 2MP Depth Sensor at an aperture of f/1.7 and f/2.4 respectively. The front on the other hand, they have managed to cram in a 16MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0. As for connectivity, you get a Dual Nano SIM Slot along side with a MicroSD Card slot as well. Good thing is that this phone still rocks a Headphone Jack but uses a Micro-USB instead. In the battery department, it has a 3500mAh capacity that claims to last for more than a day.

Finally, it runs ColorOS 5.2 which is based on Android 8.1. You also get features like the fingerprint sensor on the back and other added software centric features like the Facial Unlock with the help of the camera.

Pricing and Availability

The RealMe 2 is priced at RM 849 for the 4GB Variant, RM 949 for the 6GB Variant and RM 1099 for the 8GB Variant respectively. It comes in two different colors – Black Sea and Blue Ocean. As they have partnered up with Shopee, the RealMe 2 Pro will be exclusively available on Shopee and customers can purchase the phone starting this 11.11 Sale.

Honestly, it sure does look like a compelling smartphone to begin with and it’d be interesting to get our hands on one of these because of the price tag.
