At MWC 2019, Nokia revealed a number of handsets, including the world’s first smartphone featuring a five-camera system.

Five Cameras On A Smartphone?!

Yes, that’s right, Nokia’s latest flagship, the Nokia 9 PureView sports a five-camera setup on its rear. Consisting of two colour sensors, and three monochromatic sensors for added  sharpness and details. According to the firm, the cameras work together to collect up to 10-times the amount of light compared to a single colour sensor. Each image captured is HDR and also allows users to capture in RAW format. Also included is an updated version of the Pro Camera mode, giving users more control over their photography experience. At the moment, the camera app is still under engineering mode so the experience might not be as smooth.

Meanwhile, under the hood, the Nokia 9 PureView is powered by last years Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the front, there is a 5.99-inch P-OLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Keeping the lights on is a 3,320 mAh non-removable battery which can be juiced up via a UBS Type-C with support for Quick Charge 3.0. It also happens to support wireless charging, and is the first Nokia phone with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

HMD Global also took the wraps off the Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2 to cater to the masses. The Nokia 4.2 is the higher spec variant of the two, and comes with a 5.7-inch display with a glass back. Powering it is a Snapdragon 439 processor and comes with either 3GB RAM + 32GB storage or 2GB RAM + 16GB storage. Photography is handled by a dual-camera setup consisting of a 13MP + 2MP shooter. Also, it packs a 3,000mAh battery, and a fingerprint sensor on its rear.

Now, moving on to the Nokia 3.2; it comes with a large 6.26-inch HD+ display and a Snapdragon 429 chipset. It also comes with the same memory configuration as its smaller sibling: the Nokia 4.2. Keeping things running throughout the day is a much larger 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging. Handling images is a single 13MP sensor on the rear. All three handsets come with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and will receive monthly security updates for the next 3 years.

These phones will be coming to Malaysia, but Nokia Malaysia has yet to give an announcement regarding local availability.
