We here at The Adventures of Vesper love the Zenbook series from ASUS for its beautiful design and for what it offers under the hood. Last year, we got our eyes on the Zenbook Pro which featured a secondary trackpad and display, the ScreenPad. This time around, the ScreenPad has made its way to the Zenbook as well and has some interesting improvements going on.

ScreenPad 2.0

As we mentioned earlier, the Screenpad was initially introduced with the Zenbook Pro series last year and this time around, ASUS is bringing the ScreenPad to their Zenbook as well. The ScreenPad 2.0 which is the upgraded version – is now powered by the ScreenXpert Software. Just like the previous ScreenPad, the secondary touchscreen aims to bring the productivity and convenience to another level. And in fact, third party developers can use the API to optimize the software and experience. They have improved in terms of the battery consumption, so users will be able to use both and have 2.5 times longer battery life.

The Usual, but better

In terms of design, the Zenbook comes in 3 different display sizes – 13.3, 14 and 15.6 inch with ultraslim bezels around the display. Its surprising to see how the Zenbook comes in this small footprint and manages to cram in a 95% screen-to-body ratio. With that said, the laptop has the signature Zen Design with the spiraled finish on top in this Royal Blue finish with the Rose Gold accent on top of the keyboard to give the laptop the glam it needs. Finally, it does have the Ergolift hinge that gives an incline as you open up the lid which is one of the interesting design choices we have seen on a laptop.

In terms of specification, the Zenbook 13 | 14 | 15 manages to offer good performance in that thin and light chassis. It is powered by up to an Intel Core i7 Processor with wide option of GPU, including the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 on the 13 and 14, whereas the 15 gets an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. As for the storage, the Zenbook comes configured with PCIe SSD and up to 16GB RAM as well. Connectivity is key and the Zenbook features Wi-Fi 5 which supports 802.11ac. Finally, the Zenbook 13 and 14 has a battery that can last up to 14 hours and for the 15, it can last up to 17 hours respectively.

These are the specification below.
