The highly anticipated Mi Note 10 has just been released in Malaysia, and it comes with a pretty interesting camera setup.
World’s First 108MP Penta Camera
Malaysia will be getting two variants, the Mi Note 10 and the Mi Note 10 Pro. Both devices come with a penta-camera setup on the rear. They feature a 108MP ultra high-resolution camera with an aperture of f/1.7. It supports OIS, and is able to combine four pixels to curate a 27MP image. Next up is a 12MP telephoto camera with support for 2X optical zoom. There’s a secondary 5MP telephoto camera, with support for 10X hybrid zoom, and 50X digital zoom. The fourth camera happens to be a 20MP ultra-wide shooter, with a Field-of-View of 117 degrees. Finally, there’s a 2MP macro camera, allowing users to capture subjects at a distance of between 2cm to 10cm.
Meanwhile, selfies are handled by a 32MP camera with support for pixel binning, and also provides AI scene detection. The distinction between the Mi Note 10 and the Pro, is that the latter features an 8P lens on its main camera, compared to 6P on the regular variant.
Backing this impressive camera setup are some pretty decent specs. Upfront, there’s a large 6.47-inch AMOLED curved display, with support for Always-on-display, thanks to MIUI 11. Protecting this screen is Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and this also covers the back. Powering this phablet is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G built on 8nm technology. It is backed by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the Pro variant sports 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Keeping the lights on is a behemoth 5,260mAh non-removable battery and it can be juiced up with 30W fast charging. This fast charger is included in the box, so you won’t have to buy an extra charger to make use of this feature.
Pricing & Availability
The Mi Note 10 series will be available from 7th December onwards, and Xiaomi has prepared a couple of promotions for early birds. If you purchase the Mi Note 10 in-stores, you’ll receive RM 100 off for any Mi Store products. Meanwhile, purchasing the Mi Note 10 Pro will make you eligible for the aforementioned offer, as well as 12 months of screen replacement warranty. The Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro are priced at RM 2,099 and RM 2,499 respectively. They’re available in Midnight Black, Glacier White, and Aurora Green.
