Sony’s W Series headphones has always offered products based on users needs. We have seen the WH-1000XM3 and WF-1000XM3, in fact we have reviewed it here as well. That said, now it’s time for Sony’s WI-1000XM2 – for users who prefer the neckband style Bluetooth Headphone. Best part, it has ANC as well.

Sony WI-1000XM2

Just as we mentioned above, the Sony WI-1000XM2 is a neckband Bluetooth Earphones but with a lot of tricks up it’s collar. Not only it sits comfortably around your neck, but it also hangs around safe and sound with no worries of dropping it down accidentally and sorts. What makes the band interesting is that it has a very flexible silicon band for comfort and easy storage. The magnetic earbuds clips together for a tangle free storage. Best part – it comes with a nice handy case to store and also includes Aeroplane Adapter, an in-line cable for wired connection.

Starting off with the drivers, the WI uses an 9mm HD Hybrid Driver which is custom made specifically for the WI. If you are familiar with their Balanced Armature drivers, it relatively has the same kind of setup going on. Next up, the WI-1000XM2 packs the same HD Noise Cancelling Processor which we have seen with the WH and the WF, which is the QN1 – a chip that’s capable of combining DNC with 32-bit Audio Signal Processing. This has the potential to pump out music in DSEE HX and also has the support for Sony Hi-Res Audio both wired and Wirelessly.

The earphone shares a similar design with their WF-1000XM3 which we have seen recently – an angled earphone design which lets the earpiece sit deeper and have a better secure and comfortable fit. They have the capability to offer battery life upto 10 hours and with the support of quick charge, users can get 80 minutes of playback with just 10 minutes of charging. The WI features Sense Engine and with the support for Headphones Connect, you can customize your listening experience whichever way you want.

Pricing and Availability

The Sony WI-1000XM2 is priced at RM 1,299 respectively and now available for purchase at all the Official Sony Centre, both online and offline stores as well.
