Realme Malaysia has launched the Realme 6, the followup from last years Realme 5. This time around, the latest from the company packs pretty significant upgrades. Here’s what you need to know.

90Hz display, and Flash Charging!

When it comes to specs, the Realme 6 is a capable mid-range phone, at least on paper. On the front, it sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ IPS display with support for 90Hz refresh rate. Also, there is 120Hz sampling rate dedicated to better gaming response. Powering the device is a 12nm MediaTek Helio G90T processor, similar to that found on the Redmi Note 8 Pro. This chipset is optimised for mobile gaming. Memory wise, Malaysia is receiving a single variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Need more storage? It comes with a dedicated microSD card slot.

Like the previous generation, the Realme 6 comes with a quad-camera setup on its rear, consisting of a 64MP f/1.8 main camera coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. Also, there are two more cameras for macro and portrait. This setup is supported by a dual LED flash. Meanwhile, selfies are handled by a 16MP camera situated in a punch hole on the front of the display. Keeping the lights on is a 4,300mAh battery with support for 30W Flash Charge via USB-C. Realme mentioned that the battery can be juiced up within 60 minutes. This is a significant upgrade from the Realme 5, which came with 10W charging via micro-USB.

Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, and also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which doubles as a power button. Software wise, the Realme 6 runs on Android 10, with Realme UI on top of it.
