Hey guys. I know this is not some review or some post where I talk about the specifications. But it’s something that triggered me to be the Tech Blogger I am today, right now. I know you guys are surprised, how OnePlus triggered me to be the tech blogger. You will know in a bit.

Well… OnePlus is a company from China. And it is THE Company which made the impossible possible. As a student, owning a phone could be easy but back then I didn’t have the chance to cash out a whooping 2.3k Ringgit just to buy the flagship phone in the market. It was expensive for me back then and it is still now. But, OnePlus did something that the other companies didn’t do (or Will never do). A phone with the hardware of the flagship device and the price of a mid range device.

In 2014, OnePlus launched their first Flagship killer in the ring and it literally killed every other company who had that same specs. Snapdragon 801 clocked in at 2.5 GHz, 3 GB RAM, 64GB internal Storage and many more. My dream phone back then. But then, as I lived in Malaysia. The phone wasn’t available officially. So, it kinda make me a bit sad. But I waited.

In 2015, January. The day I will never forget. I got invited for OnePlus One Launch in Malaysia.

I have to say, that was my first time leaving the house for something. Something I love about. And I was this kid, sitting alone in that place. And I met Mike and Brandon, who is from OnePlus. And they were talking about the device and every stuff available in it. Which I knew way before. And adding onto that, they told “Those who imported their OnePlus from overseas, will get one year Warranty in Malaysia.” I was like,”Wuhhhh?!”

Haha. But then, I got to talk with Brandon about their Oxygen OS which was released back then. And they had around 5-6 test units on the table for us to play with it. And I was holding the white OnePlus One. Remember we all went crazy for that white Back which literally gave the feel of a baby skin. xD Yeaaap.

Before we entered the event, every one of us got a swag bag. With OnePlus Tee in it. Very cool. In my favorite color too, grey. And we were chit chatting with everyone around. And I met a new person in my journey, Aran Perumal. The tech nerd. Both of just had the same interest. 🙂 So yeah, Brandon & Mike asked us to post the most creative selfie in instagram to win a goodie bag.

Guess what?
I won one. Inside was a Clear Case, Tempered glass, OnePlus Bullet in ear headphones and Powerbank. Probably the best goodie bag I got. And it was like a gesture. Like the universe is telling me to get my very Own OnePlus One. Haha.

I took a picture with Brandon and we left. The first and the best event I have attended. And one of the moments in my life.

And later in 2015, we saw the almighty OnePlus 2. All in its glory.

The new 810 Processor in that beast. One thing that really made me not to buy OnePlus 2 was, It didn’t have an NFC. As a huge fan of NFC, to me it made pairing to accessories made easier, scanning my programmed tag to perform task and so on. But then there was a lot of other stuff which made me love the phone too… First thing was that alert slider. Which was wicked. And the fingerprint sensor. I did get the chance to play with the OnePlus 2, and I tried the camera. Man. It was the best.

I kinda wished for an Official launch in Malaysia, but then it was too simple. Nothing interesting. But then the way they launched was dope. Watching the Launch is VR, is great. Sad part, I didn’t get that VR Cardboard. So, I had to view the video like a youtube video. And guess what, I was in class when I was watching it. 😛

And then, months later. OnePlus X came in. That ceramic backed OnePlus got my goddamn attention. It was sexy. The X has the same processor as the One, but clocked in at 2.3GHz. But the price was nice too…

And here we are. In the Month of June, waiting for OnePlus to unveil their 3. We are seeing a lot of rumors at the moment. But rumors aside, I am pretty hyped for this phone. One thing I really hope they’ll bring back is that NFC. But either way, I don’t mind anymore.

OnePlus is doing a pretty good job as always. They really held onto their motto, Never Settle. And they never did. I have high hopes for OnePlus and I am pretty sure they will win this game no matter what. But, they already did. Almost. They might not the most perfect Smartphone manufacturer, but they do take their flaws pretty seriously and improve that in their next product.

Which other manufacturers barely do… You know who that is.

And OnePlus posted one video.
The Second Album: The Untold Story Behind the OnePlus 2 Launch”
Something you guys should watch…

Well, I hope you guys liked it!
As we all know, OnePlus 3 will be launched somewhere on 14th and 15th of June. And it will go on flash sale. And there’s no invite! FINALLY! We all hated that damn thing like so much. -.-“

And Make sure you all download OnePlus Loop VR app from the Google Play store for the best experience possible. Get ready, It’s time. 😉

And if I hadn’t gone for that OnePlus One launch that day, I wouldn’t be who I am right now. Sometimes, you just have to do it. Whether right or wrong, just do it. It’s better to get an outcome instead of not trying at all. Atleast, you won’t regret it. 🙂

Alright folks.
I’ll catch you guys real soon.
