I have been Missing in Action for quite some time. Haha. Well, here I am. Great to see you guys back. I have a new Product from Mi. Which I bought it when they were crowdfunding. The last product I got from Xiaomi. Well for now. I’m on a tight budget. T_T
This the Unboxing and First Look at Xiaomi’s USB Charger. It charges your laptop too! So, let’s not waste any time and get right into it!
Unboxing:
As you could see, the box is fairly simple like the other Mi products that I’ve unboxed earlier. On the front, you see this cute ghost looking logo. Nothing fancy.
On the side, you can see the Barcodes, serial number and what not.
On the back, you get to see the specifications of the USB Charger. It’s all written in chinese. Like the voltage and stuff. And now, it’s time for us to pop that box open.
First thing you can see as soon as you opened would be the small manual. I looked through the whole manual. And I found something interesting about it’s charging capability, which I’ll be sharing with you guys soon.
As soon as you open the flap, you’ll see a lot of stuff covered in the plastic covers. As you could see in the picture below, these are all the objects found under the flap.
First thing is, we have the Cable that connects the USB Charging Hub to the port on the wall. As it is a product from China, you might have trouble with the pin. But getting an universal adapter would solve the problem.
Next up, what you see is an one of a kind USB cable. This is the cable you use to charge your Laptop / Notebook. One thing for sure. If you lose this cable, No way in hell you are getting another one.
I was scared that what if I can’t use it on my laptop due to the port on the cable. Thank god. Mi has got you covered. They include bunch of different adapters that actually work with your laptop. Pretty neat. Here’s the 6 different ports that comes with the charger.
There’s this two U shaped clip looking thing. Someone told me that it’s the stand for the charger. I didn’t quite figure that one out.
And finally, something I didn’t expect. A travel pouch for the charger. Smart. Now, instead of carrying different USB adapters for your phone, tablet and what not. You could just use this one and save your travelling space.
Now on to the USB charger it self. On to the front of the USB charger, you can see five USB Ports where you could connect your devices to charge. To charge your laptop, you’ll have to use the 2 USB cable, which leaves you three free ports. Where you can charge your phone, tablet and other stuff. On the back, we have the port to connect the other cable which connects to the Wall Port. There’s this specifications written on the back. Due to the lighting issue, I couldn’t capture what’s written.
Here’s the fact that is very interesting. This USB charger supports Quick Charge 2.0. I wish it was 3.0. But ya. Quick charge, is Qualcomm’s technology where it charges your phone fast and get a lot of juice in a very less time.
And there you have it.
The Mi USB Charger. Which also charges your Laptop. I will be testing out this with my personal laptop and other stuff, to give you guys a detailed review of this product.
