On 1st November, Sharp made its way into the Malaysian Market for the first time with two new mid-tier smartphones, Sharp Z2 and Sharp M1. These two device happens to offer some great specifications for the price itself and it’s very interesting. Let’s take a look at both of these devices.
Starting off with the Sharp Z2.
This phone packs a Mediatek Helios X20 processor. It’s the Mediatek’s latest deca-core processor which happens to be really fast and snappy. It comes with their new technology called the Tri-Cluster CPU architecture. It features a 5.5 inch 1080p display which looks vibrant at the first look. It packs a 3000 mAh battery that can last you for a day or two. And the rear facing camera is a 16MP sensor with the Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), that let’s you focus quickly.
Other specification includes, 4GB RAM and 32GB Internal Storage. It also has a Dual Sim/ Micro SD Card slot which is a great touch. Talking about storage, you can expand upto 128 GB via an SD Card. You can still shoot selfie with the 8MP sensor that has an aperture of 1.8 and 82 degree wide angle. Also there’s a fingerprint sensor on the back that let’s you unlock and protect your phone. It comes in two colors, Gold and Silver.
Now moving on to the Sharp M1.
This phone is targeted among those who likes to step up their Selfie game. It features a 13MP Front facing camera and also a 13MP Rear facing camera. It has this back illuminated sensor that let you take those shots at night that looks like a shot that was taken under a normal lighting. It has a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass that does not only look great but makes the phone feel premium.
Other than that, we have a Mediatek MT6753 Octa-core processor that’s clocked in at 1.3GHz. It has a 3GB RAM and a 64GB ROM. On top of that you can expand the memory by adding upto 64GB SD Card. You get a 5.5” Full HD display. The phone itself packs a 2600 mAh, that will last you long enough. The Sharp M1 will come in 2 colors as well, White and Pink.
The pricing for the Sharp Z2 will be RM 1199 and the Sharp M1 will be sold for RM 899. I’d say its a great deal for the price. Sadly I can’t give my full opinion on the device itself but in short, it’s nice. You can get it from certain authorized dealers. Check out the full listing at Sharp Mobile site which I’ll link it down below.
