Huawei, the Chinese Manufacturing Company announced their latest Mate Lineup in Munich, Germany. Before that, they unveiled their first AI mobile chipset, Kirin 970 and they also mentioned that the Mate 10 lineup will be the first to feature this processor. Huawei announced 3 different Mate devices starting off with the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10.

The Mate 10 Series runs their in house processor, Kirin 970 Octa Core processor which has an 10nm architecture and also has a Mali-G72 12 core GPU. What makes this processor interesting is that it has a Neural Network Processing Unit (NPU). This combines with Huawei’s HiAI Mobile computing platform, will give the device perform a lot better than conventional processors.

The Mate 10 features a 5.9″ inch 16:9 QHD Display, which they call the FullView Display whereas the Mate 10 Pro has a bigger screen ratio, 6.0″ inch 18:9 FHD Display, covered by a 3D Glass Body. It also comes with HDR10 Support for vivid viewing experience. The phone also receives an IP67 rating against water and dust resistant. Mate 10 will be the only device to have an headphone Jack whereas the Mate 10 Pro does not have one. (Sad.)
