Last year Dew Challenge came to an end at Berjaya Times Square. And now, the Amateur DoTA 2 Tournament is back. This is the third year in a row but the first time ever where Mountain Dew has opened up their doors to Singapore. Which makes the competition, bigger, badder, stronger and power.

Battle Stage

If you’re not really familiar about the whole Dew Challenge, here’s the short version. There’s 1440 participants from 288 teams – 224 teams from Malaysia and 64 teams from Singapore. Now, each team consists of 5 players. These teams will battle in State level and will step into the finals. If you’re a huge fan of the Dew Challenge, supporters can catch the upcoming rounds at these dates and location.

In Malaysia,

We just had our Kuala Lumpur Match at TBUN 3 Internet Cafe, at Wangsa Maju on November 11 and 12. Followed by the Johor Match at 818 CC on November 18 and 19. Now the third match will be happening at INC, Selangor located at SS2 on the 25th and 26th November.

In Singapore,

All the two matches has came to an end. Pasir Ris at Colosseum on 11th and 12th November and Outram at Alienware on 18th and 19th November.

The Top 24 teams from Malaysia and Top 12 team from Singapore will be competing at the Group Stage level which will happen at Alienware Cyber Cafe in Outram and INC (SS2) as well. Only 4 teams will be proceeding to the finals which will happen again at Berjaya Times Square on 9th and 10th December. This is exactly where these 4 teams will compete and walk away with SGD50,000.

Last Year Winner

Winning the Mountain Dew Challenge does not only give you the chance to take a huge prize pool away but also opens up to amazing opportunities. Like last year, Yeik Nai Zheng, who goes by the name MidOne. He became the second-best player in Europe and the member of Team Secret that’s based in Europe. Chong Jia Hao, also known as VT Faded also had the opportunity to go big and is now with NGA Gaming, a team based in China.
