Sony UBP-X700 & STR-DH790
The Sony UBP-X700 happens to be a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player, and is supposed to deliver content that looks realistic. It come with support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision, delivering content with great detail, colour, and brightness. Users will be able to stream content in 4K from platforms such as Netflix and YouTube, all through the UBP-X700. On the other hand, the Sony STR-DH790 is an AV Receiver and comes with 5.1.2 Channel along with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Like the UBP-X700, the STR-DH790 also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
With Advanced D.C.A.C (Digital Cinema Auto Calibration) in the STR-DH790, setup of speakers is made easy. It works via the use of a plug-in microphone, and a series of test tones which determine the proper speaker levels. This happens once the microphone detects the acoustical properties of the space it is in, and determines its placement. Sony also recommends users to pair the aforementioned devices together to create “a new realm of sound preserving picture quality.”
The Sony HT-S200F is a 2.1ch Compact Sound Bar, which will provide cinematic sound from the comforts of home. It is a single piece, meaning no separate subwoofer is required when using it, as it is built-in. Dolby Digital and S-Force PRO Front Surround is included, which should provide cinematic surround audio to users. Users may connect to their device or TV via a HDMI ARC cable or wirelessly with Bluetooth. It also has a USB input, allowing users to connect a USB device for audio playback. As for the design, it comes with a leather look top and piano black sides.
