Sharp, a company who introduced the very first Bezel less display smartphone back in the day is back with their new smartphone. Sharp Mobile has launched Sharp Aquos S2 here in Malaysia. It also happens to be the world’s first to feature a Free Form Display Full screen smartphone.

In terms of design, it has a 5.5″ Full HD bezel less display on the front that comes in a 17:9 aspect ratio. On the front, it also features an 8MP Front facing camera that let’s you take selfies. On the back, Sharp has also jumped into the dual-camera bandwagon, which comes in a configuration of 12MP and 8MP respectively. They call it the Trinal Camera. It features a dual 1.4 μm MP, Full Pixel PDAF Dual Focus and a Dual-Lens Professional Depth-of-field Effect that gives the bokeh effect.

The Sharp Aquos S2 will also come with their very own Smile UX that has RoboS, which is a voice interactive AI assistant and also has S-BOOST for increased performance.

Pricing and Availability

The Sharp Aquos S2 will be available for pre-order in Malaysia till 3rd January 2018 from Lazada Malaysia, 11street, Shopee, DirectD and Satu Gadget. Everyone who pre-order it, will get a SLS-100 Stereo Wireless Bluetooth Headset whereas the first 50 pre-orders from every site will receive a 32GB SanDisk Ultra SD card as well. It will be retailed for RM 1299 and comes in 3 colors, which is Dazzling Black, Glazed White and Abyss Blue.
