Asus unveiled their new Gaming Laptop and this time it isn’t from their Republic of Gamers Lineup. Asus Gaming Laptop is their new gaming laptop that has the Asus branding instead of any Gaming logo. We are taking a closer look at the Asus FX503 Gaming Laptop and find out what’s under the hood.

Asus FX503: Closer Look

1/9

The Asus FX503 has a thinner and lighter design comparing with it’s predecessors. This time it comes in at 2.4cm thick and weighs around 2.5kg. Despite it’s price tag, they’ve added a D Door behind the chassis. What makes this laptop interesting is that the storage isn’t soldered to the motherboard, giving you the room to upgrade your storage and RAM.

The FX503 has an N-key rollover. What this does is that the keyboard will register multiple keys when pressed simultaneously. The WASD key is highlighted on the keyboard for easy identification. It offers a 1.8mm key travel for a tactile typing experience and also comes with this red backlit to have the gaming feel.

The Asus FX503 comes in 4 different configurations. It’s powered by Intel 7th Generation Core i Processor. As for GPU, they’ve opted for NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050 and GTX1060. The base variant comes with TN Panel whereas the rest comes with IPS Display. You can check out more in the specification sheet below.

Pricing (L to R)

In terms of pricing, the Asus FX503 will start from RM 3,499 for the base variant. The second one with a IPS and with no SSD will go for RM 3,899. Their third configuration that comes with a 128 M.2 SSD will go for RM 4199 and their maxed out specs, which comes with a GTX1060 will go for RM 5,699. It’s now available throughout all the Asus Authorized Dealer and you can also find on e-stores like Lazada.
