U Mobile has announced an addition to its Unlimited Grooves campaign.  Through it, the telco will be supporting local and international acts.

U Unlimited Groove To Support Local Talents In 2018!

As for 2018, U Mobile will be adopting 3 local talents, namely Kyoto Protocol, Masdo and Bil Musa. Passion projects by these acts will be funded by U Mobile over the course of the year. This includes album production, and also the making of a music video. In addition, a local tour will be sponsored and potentially a world tour. New features are set to be added to the Unlimited Grooves Campaign this year. An installment service for concert tickets is in the pipeline and is expected to be revealed this year.

The three local acts consists of up and coming talent as well as established ones. Kyoto Protocol, a five-member band is the most famous of the trio and are into soul and punk. Bil Musa is a singer- songwriter and started writing her own songs at the young age of 16. She signed to Yuna’s label, Yuna Room Records in 2014. Finally, we have Kugiran Masdo, a band inspired by P. Ramlee. The four-member band combines pop from the 1970s with modern rock.

New Unlimited Data Plans Introduced

On top of that, the new Unlimited HERO P79 plan for those into entertainment has been introduced. Included in it is 6 months of rebates on Spotify Premium, and also unlimited data for the Music-Onz streaming service. Unlimited data is also included for video streaming via Video-Onz.

While the HERO P79 plan is more suited for those who are into music and videos, those who are into social media can get the HERO P68 plan. The new plan offers customers unlimited data for apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, WeChat, and Facebook Messenger.
