I for one am a huge fan of Lamborghini’s work ever since the first car manufactured. It’s a beautifully crafted machine that has a life. Last year at Sant’Agata Bolognese, they unveiled the Lamborghini Urus. A highly anticipated Super SUV that has some serious power under the hood. Well guess what, Automobili Lamborghini is unveiling the Urus here in Malaysia and I have to say, I am in love.

Lamborghini Urus

Urus, is also known as Aurochs – is one of the large wild ancestors of the domestic cattle. It’s a Spanish fighting bull has a close appearance to Urus. Hence why the Super SUV got it’s name.

In terms of look, the Urus shares the pure Lamborghini DNA that we’ve seen with the previous iteration. These are some of the key highlights of the device itself. The Lamborghini Urus packs a 4.0 liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 650 hp and 850 Nm of torque for that insane performance. The Urus can hit 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 12.8 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km/h. This is basically the fastest SUV available in the market.

As for the Fuel consumption, in Urban roads, the Urus uses 16.7l/100 km. On the highway, it’s 9.7l/100km. When combined, you can get about 12.3 l/100km.

Obviously, the SUB has a 4WD system with active torque vectoring and four-wheel steering for that precise handling. As much as it screams like a super car, they’ve also took a step higher with the safety features. The Lamborghini Urus comes with a carbon ceramic brakes, adapting air suspension and active roll stabilization. Finally, we get to the best part – that is the availability of six different driving modes.

There’s three On-Road Modes. First one is Strada, it emphasizes on the ease of driving, comfort and safety. Second is Sport for agility, responsiveness and a fun way to drive. Third is Corsa for precision and unprecedented performance.

The other three modes are the Off-Road Modes. Starting off with Neve, which focuses on safety and ensures ease on road that’s slippery. Terra gives you comfort and ease on off-road and finally, Sabbia, the mode ideal for sandy surfaces. On top of all these six modes, you get EGO, the mode that gives the driver the edge to take complete control of the dynamics to his/her taste and needs in terms of steering, suspension and traction.

Pricing and Availability

In terms of pricing, the Lamborghini Urus will be released in Spring later this year. Now, if you want to purchase this… well it doesn’t come at an affordable price. In Europe, it’s EUR 171,429. Italy, 168,852.00. UK, GBP 131,500. USA, USD 200,000. China, RMB 3,130,000 and Japan, YEN 25,740,000.
