Last year, we saw a lot of laptops from the infamous company, Asus. One of their interesting series we personally loved was their Zenbook. It’s the company’s premium lineup where it offers power and beautiful design on top of it. This year, Asus unveiled their new Zenbook 13, their new Ultrabook that’s not as expensive as their Zenbook 3 Deluxe. Let’s take a closer look at the new Zenbook 13.

Asus Zenbook 13: A Closer Look

1/9

The first thing you’ll notice is that the new Zenbook 13 has a glossy finish on the back instead of a metal brushed design. But the rest looks more or less the same. The Zenbook 13 is thin enough to fit in a Full Size USB unlike the Zenbook 3 Deluxe which has a super thin profile with only USB-C. A closer look at the ports selection on this Zenbook 13. On the left side, you’ll find the Charging port, a HDMI port, USB 3.1 Gen 1 and a USB -C 3.1. On the right side, you’ll find a MicroSD Card slot, Headphone Jack and another USB 3.1 Gen 1.

Moving onto the specification under the hood, you’ll find an Intel 8th Generation Core i Series processor. As for the RAM, it has upto 16GB of LPDDR3. As for the storage you can either opt in for a M.2 SATA 3 SSD or a NVMe PCIe SSD. The Zenbook 13 has a 13.3″ Display which you can either go for a 4K UHD Display or a FHD Display. As for the graphics, you can pick between Intel’s in-house Intel UHD 620 or NVIDIA’s Discreet Graphics, GeForce MX150.

For the audio, the laptop has 2 High Quality Speakers that’s tuned by Harman Kardon. So expect it to have really good sound profile and output. Other than that, we see certain minor changes like the Keyboard layout – but it’s still a one-piece chiclet keyboard. The Mousepad supports Asus Smart Gesture and they’ve relocated the fingerprint sensor from the Trackpad to the palm resting area.

As for the battery counterpart, the device is equipped with a 50Wh Lithium-polymer battery which Asus claims that it can give battery life upto 14 to 15 hours. This depends on which model you pick. You can take a look at the quick comparison below.
