We have been taking a look at a lot of smartboards from various companies, where they want to bring collaboration and productivity to the next level. Well, guess who’s following the trend. It’s none other than Samsung. A while back, they unveiled the Samsung Flip back in CES2018 and it’s now here in Malaysia.

The Samsung Flip sports a 55” Ultra HD Display on the front and as it’s a smartboard, it does have touch input. You can even choose to interact with the display using their dual-sided pen. For a Smartboard, it comes with variety number of ports. It offers extensive device compatibility via PC, mobile ports, USB and wirelessly. It has a screen sharing functionality that takes a step further with productivity and interactive collaboration. There’s an option to import content onto the board and you can interact with it.

One thing with the Flip is that it doesn’t really need a dedicated pen to interact the pen. You can use your hands two write and perform certain gestures on it to get things done faster. For instance, with a palm swipe, you can erase the board completely. The Flip also gives users about 20 pages of writing space with search functionality. One thing that makes Samsung Flip stand out is the fact that you can change the orientation to your liking. You can either go for portrait or Landscape. In fact you can even adjust the height accordingly.

As this is a product with a lot of user interaction, Samsung is also taking a step further with the security. Samsung Flip has the capability to protect documents, discussion with a password. Which means, only approved user can access it. It also has an option to save content directly to the storage connected through USB or they can even download, print or get it through email.

Pricing

As the Samsung Flip is considered to be a niche product and it’s targeted towards businesses. With these advanced features, the Samsung Flip costs a whopping RM 12,999. That’s a hefty price tag. But hey, as long the job gets done, that’s good right? 😀
