Transcend announces their new Industrial Solid State Drive which is powered with 3D TLC NAND flash memory. This particular Transcend mSATA 3D TLC SSD is targeted towards users and companies that requires intensive writing.
Transcend mSATA 3D TLC SSD – MSA450T
Comparing with a 2D MLC NAND flash, the new one, which is 3D TLC NAND flash storage happens to feature a better write endurance and performance at a very competitive price. It’s a lot easier to have bigger physical capacity with a 3D TLD NAND. It also maintains a better write endurance and performance. Comparing with their very own MSA370 which has 160MB/s, the MSA450T features that has a write performance up to 400MB/s.
With the MSA450T, it comes with DDR3 RAM cache to boost the write performance. The cache acts as a buffer. This helps in increasing the drive performance by dedicating fast NAND to read/write cycle. To make sure that the data stays intact and drive longevity, the drive features an Advanced Low-Density Parity Check error correction code. This helps in fixing the errors automatically.
