There’s a wide variety of camera in the whole imaging scene. We have DSLRs, SLR, Digital Camera and so on. There’s one camera that looks modern on the outside and retro on the inside. That’s the Fujifilm Instax. This time they’ve unveiled their new instant camera, Instax SQ6 which is launched alongside Japan. Let’s see what the camera has to offer.
Fujifilm Instax Square SQ6
Honestly, the moment you look at the Instax Square SQ 6, it looks just like the older Instagram logo. It comes in 3 different colors – Blush Gold (I call it the Instagram Logo v.1.0), Graphite Grey and Pearl White.
According to Fujifilm, the Instax Square SQ6 happens to be the very first analogue instant camera to be released among Fujifilm’s other instant camera. Just to compare with the Instax Mini, it shoots in this 86 x 54 mm – which is small and cute to look at. On the other hand, you tend to lose a bit of details and the picture. The Instax Square, just like the same suggests – shoots in a Square format (86 x 72 mm), which means more room for more people.
In terms of function, the camera happens to have 6 key different features. Starting off with the Automatic Exposure Control, which let’s you brighten the subject and the background when captured at night and dark room. For those who loves selfies, worry not. This camera has a Selfie Mode and also a Selfie Mirror on the front, which is located right next to the lens.
The Instax Square SQ6 has other features like Macro, Landscape, Double Exposure and Light/Dark Mode. Honestly, to do this with an instax, it sure is fun to play with and have some fun. To control all these, you’ll still haveNot just that, the camera includes 3 strobe color filters where you can attach to the lens.
To shoot with this, you’ll obviously need the Instax Square Instant Film. They’ve also unveiled a new Black frame which has a different look to it but still boasts the 1:1 ratio.
Pricing and Availability
The Instax Square SQ6 is now available at all Fujifilm and dealers. To kick things off, Fujifilm will be having an early bird package which includes the SQ6, an exclusive Suede Case, twin pack square film (Plain) and a CR2 rechargeable battery – all for RM 598.
