ROG Penang State Championship

By now, I am pretty sure that you’re aware of what Asus Gaming Counterpart, Republic of Gamers (ROG, for short) does. Not only they make products to make the PC Master Race a better one, they also have competitions for their fans. One of the recent event was the ROG Conquest – which happened in Komtar, Penang. It was their Penang State Championship and it came to an end on 29th April, 2018.

To make this ROG Conquest happen, Republic of Gamers teamed up with Penang Youth Development Corporation who was the co-organizer. They also partnered up with Penang ICT Association, who was the event endorser.

ROG Conquest, A great one indeed


ROG Conquest, which was held at Penang – was a huge success. It attracted more than 500 gaming fans to the Top Komtar. They had total prize pool of RM 20,000 for the Top 8 finalist for the tournament. More than 90 teams participated in this tournament and after endless hours, it came to an end. Team BlackJak took the Champion title and the trophy back home. Following that, there was 3 Runner Up. The first one, Team DotaHero, followed by Team Lagenda and finally, CR1 Stratos.

A Word from the CEO of PYDC

Teng Kok Liang, the CEO of PYDC said this.

“With budget allocation of RM1 million from Penang state Government, PYDC as the executor will be providing the opportunity and platform to promote eSports as one of the youth initiative. eSports are viewed as an opportunity for our youth to be more actively involving in science and technology sector; while encouraging them to think scientifically and act physically.”
