McDonald’s Malaysia has just announced the expansion of its McDelivery network, making it easier for Malaysians to get the fast food at their doorstep!
Partnership with Foodpanda & more delivery points
McDonald’s is leveraging on e-commerce and is expanding their delivery network. On top of that, it’s collaborating with foodpanda in order to reach more consumers. Through this move, the company expects its revenue to increase significantly. It has already experienced a growth rate of 80 percent over the first half of 2018 compared against the same period of 2017.
With the expansion plan being implemented, McDonald’s expects to have more 310 delivery points by the end of 2018. In the long run, the fast food giant wants to equip 90 percent of McDonald’s with McDelivery services by 2025. Furthermore, the partnership with foodpanda will allow McDonald’s to reach more consumers via the vast delivery network of foodpanda. Also, McDelivery is now available 24 hours a day, be it during a Champions League Final or simply for breakfast.
Introducing a more personalised McDonald’s app
The new McDonald’s app which is currently available from the Apple App Store as well as the Google Play Store, comes with a host of features. This includes daily exclusive offers and promotions for consumers, restaurant locator, news, and a feedback function. Also, you may now book a McDonald’s for birthday parties via the app. Personalised promotions will also be offered to customers on the app, and this will be based on historical purchases. With these various inclusion to the app, it has become more functional and convenient for all customers.
