Back in July, HMD Global Nokia unveiled the Nokia 6.1 Plus which is a step higher than the existing 6.1 which we have seen in the market and in fact, we even reviewed the Nokia 6.1 – which you can read about it here. A month earlier, we actually got the chance to get the sneak peek on these two devices and now we can share the great news that it is now official here in Malaysia.

Nokia 6.1 Plus

Starting off with Nokia 6.1 Plus, it houses a beautiful 5.8” FHD+ Display in the new 19:9 aspect ratio with Corning Gorilla Glass. Not to forget, these two joins #TeamNotch but it’s pretty small. One thing Nokia is known for – their gorgeous build quality. We have been fascinated with their craftsmanship and the Nokia 6.1 Plus takes a bit of a different approach. On the back, the phone packs a 2.5D Curved Glass to give the phone a premium look and has the shade of color that looks pretty too.

As for the camera, the Nokia 6.1 Plus houses a dual-camera setup on the back. The primary sensor being a 16MP and the secondary at 5MP which acts as a depth sensor. On the front, it also comes with a 16MP camera for the sharpest selfie possible. In terms of performance, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 with 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage.

Just like any other Nokia devices we have seen, the 6.1 Plus also gets the AndroidOne treatment – keeping it secure at all times and giving you the latest android experience after it’s announced. Fret not, it has a headphone jack, uses a USB-C port and has support for 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 5.0. As for the battery, it has a 3060 mAh that keeps the phone juiced up.

Pricing and Availability

The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes in two different colors – Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss White. The device will be priced at RM 1149. Is this something you’ve been looking forward to? Personally, I love how it fits nice and snug in the hands and I am pretty much interested on how it feels. With that said, we will definitely write about it when we get our hands on one of the review units.
