Just like how Samsung’s very own flagship series – the Galaxy S series got an extra new addition, their Mid-tier series is getting a new lineup of smartphones this year. The Samsung Galaxy A series now has two new additions to the lineup – Meet the new Samsung Galaxy A30 and A50.
Samsung Galaxy A30
The Samsung Galaxy A30 is no means a small phone because it houses a 6.4” FHD+ Display which is a Super AMOLED panel with an Infinity-U notch on the front that houses the front-facing camera. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A30 is powered by their in-house processor – Samsung Exynos 7904 which is an octa-core processor. Along with their processor, the phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded with the help of a MicroSD card.
As for the camera, the Samsung Galaxy A30 comes with a dual-camera setup on the back – it features a 16MP shooter with an aperture of f/1.7 and a secondary camera at 5MP with an aperture of f/2.2. On the front, the phone houses a 16MP camera for all of your selfie needs. In terms of the battery, the phone comes with a 4000 mAh battery that can be charged pretty quick with the help of the included 15W Fast Charger.
Samsung Galaxy A50
The Samsung Galaxy A50 the same display as the Galaxy A30 with the same 6.4” FHD+ Super AMOLED panel. It also boasts the Infinity-U notch right up on the top. Under the hood is where things change for the A50 because it’s no means a mid-tier phone if you look at it. The phone is powered by a Samsung Exynos 9610 which is their octa-core series that is a lot more powerful than the one we see in the A30. As for the RAM, the trend follows with the A9 which was announced last year. It is also coupled with either 4 or 6GB RAM and a 64 or 128GB internal Storage – making it a compelling option.
The A90 gets a Triple camera setup rather than a Quad Camera setup. With that said, the Rear camera consists of a Primary 25MP shooter with an aperture of f/1.7, a secondary 8MP Ultra-Wide camera and finally a 5MP Live Focus camera. On the front, it also features a 25MP shooter for taking selfies or wefies with your friends and family. It has the same capacity of battery – 4000 mAh with support for Adaptive Charging via the included 15W Adapter.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A30 will be available in three different colors – Black, Red, and Blue whereas the A50 will come in Black, Blue and White instead. The A30 will be available in one variant – 4 | 64GB at the price of RM 799 whereas the A50 will be priced at RM 1,199 for the 6GB | 128GB.
