Digital entertainment platform ZEE5, and Apigate have announced their first rollout for Malaysia with Celcom.
Celcom Subscribers Will Be Able To Enjoy Countless Hours Of Content
ZEE5 is a brand-new digital entertainment streaming platform which originated in India back in 2018, and is already widely popular in places such as Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The platform offers content in 12 languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, amongst others, and is set to include Malay in the near future. Now, with its partnership with Apigate, it is set to make inroads into Malaysia by allowing Celcom customers to easily subscribe to ZEE5. With Apigate’s Direct Carrier Billing API, payments for ZEE5 subscriptions can be carried out securely and conveniently.
This collaboration brings a range of ZEE5 content to Celcom customers including top Tamil TV shows such as Sembaruthi, Poove Poochoodava, and Yaaradi Nee Mohini. ZEE5 also produces its own originals in Tamil, with titles such as Kallachirippu, and D7. Many popular series and films are dubbed into various languages, making them easy to understand for all. On top of that, On Demand Content is also available, as well as news channels which are available at any time of the day. Other content available include Music, Cineplays, and Health and Lifestyle Content.
Malaysia is now a focus market for the fast-growing company and is part of their aggressive global expansion plan. The South East Asian country has a huge affinity for Indian and South Asian content, hence the focus placed on it. In line with their growth plan, ZEE5 will be including Malay in their content in the near future. The streaming platform can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and can be used on smart TVs as well. There is a premium and regular version of the service, with certain content made free on the regular one. Pricing for the premium Tamil language package in Malaysia is RM 9.90 per month.
