Just not too long ago, Xiaomi Malaysia announced two of their new Redmi smartphones for the Malaysian Market – this includes the Redmi Note7 and the Redmi 7 respectively. Following that, we are now getting – what it looks like their entry-level smartphone with an interesting take. Meet the Redmi Go, an Android Go powered smartphone.
As we mentioned earlier, Redmi Go is a smartphone that’s powered by Android Go – as the name suggests. The thing about Redmi Go is that it happens to offer the purest Android experience possible with the essentials only. That includes software that is useful with no bloatware and hardware that’s decent enough to get things going.
On the front, it has a 5.0” HD Display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 Processor with a 3000 mAh battery. On the back, it houses an 8MP Shooter with a LED flashlight whereas, on the front, it comes with a 5MP camera respectively. To go along with it (pun intended), they have included Dual SIM Slots and a MicroSD Card slot which can support up to 128GB.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi Go will be available in one configuration: 1GB RAM and 8GB Internal and in Black color. It will go on sale this 13th of April at Mi Stores, Lazada and Shopee for RM 299. It’s nicely priced and offers a better specification over the Nokia One which we reviewed not too long ago.
