Here at Computex 2019, Dell has refreshed their entire lineup of notebooks, be it for business professionals, gamers, and even the average consumer. The Inspiron series, aimed mainly at consumers who need a sturdy device for day-to-day usage has been upgraded as well. The laptops in question are the Inspiron 11 3000, 13 5000, and top of the line 15 7000.

Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1

First up, is the Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 which features a 11.6-inch HD Truelife LED-Backlit Touch Display. This nimble laptop runs on 7th generation AMD A6-9220e / A9-9420e chipsets with Radeon graphics. Memory wise, it comes with 4 / 8GB of RAM and 64 / 128GB of eMMC storage.

Being a budget laptop, it sports a plastic build and comes with a 28 WHr battery. While small, it does provide a number of ports; 1x HDMI, 1x USB 3.1, 2x USB 2.0, and a headphone jack. It will be available in two colours; Urban Grey, and Alpine White. Pricing starts at $579.99 and is already available for purchase.


Inspiron 13 5000

Sporting a 13.3-inch FHD LED display, the Inspiron 13 5000 is a step above its smaller sibling, the Inspiron 11 3000. It also possess a better chipset selection of Intel 8th Generation processors with options of i3 / i5 / i7. It too comes with Intel UHD Graphics 620 or NVIDIA GeForce MX250 (2GB RAM). Keeping things running is 4 / 8GB of RAM and 128 / 256 / 512GB of SSD storage. It also happens to have improved thermals over its predecessor, keeping it cool at all times.

While it sports a larger chassis than its smaller counterpart, it doesn’t come with as many ports. Customers will receive; 1x HDMI, 1x USB 3.1 Type-C, 1x USB 3.1, 1x Micro SD card reader, and a headphone jack. Battery options available are 45 WHr and 52 WHr, and a fingerprint reader variant will be available as well. When it comes to price and availability, the Inspiron 13 5000 will be available in Platinum Silver with either light gray or dark gray bezels from $579.99. Availability will be announced at a later date, though Dell has mentioned it will be sometime soon.


Inspiron 15 7000

Finally, we have the top of the line Inspiron 15 7000, with the option of a 15.6-inch FHD or UHD LED display. It comes with 9th Generation Intel processors of i5 / i7 /i9 and supports RAM of 8GB and 16GB. Storage wise, it is available in 128 / 256 / 512GB of SSD, and 1TB of HDD. Being the most premium Inspiron, it packs its own dedicated graphics card from NVIDIA GeForce, with the choice of the GTX 1050 3GB GDDR5 RAM and GTX 1650 with 4GB GDDR5 RAM.

There’s an array of ports available on the Inspiron 15 7000, including 1x HDMI 2.0, 3x USB 3.1, 1x Thunderbolt 3, and a headphone jack. Each version is made out of different materials, be it stamped aluminum or magnesium alloy. The series comes with rather varying battery packs, with it being 56 WHr or 97 WHr. It’s currently available for purchase in most regions from $999.99 and customers can choose from two colours; Abyss Black or Platinum Silver.
