ASUS unveiled a handful number of products here at Computex 2019 – starting off with their all-new Zenbook Pro Duo which has a dual display setup going on and their new Zenbook & Vivobook which has also gotten the ScreenPad treatment. With that said, here are some of the things the gaming side of ASUS – Republic of Gamers announced.

ASUS ROG Strix Monitor


One of the products no one saw coming – it’s the portable ASUS ROG Strix XG17 which is their portable Gaming Monitor. In fact, this is the world’s first 240 Hz portable monitor to ever exist. It comes in a 17.3” Full HD Display with an IPS Panel that has 3ms Response Time. With the 7400mAh battery packed inside the monitor, it can give upto 3 hours of battery life on 240Hz. It comes with a smart case to protect and make it stand and as for connectivity, the laptop monitor connects via Micro HDMI or USB-C.

ASUS ROG Theta & Theta Electret


The ASUS ROG Theta is their new addition to the Headphone lineup. The ROG Theta comes with a 7.1 Surround Sound that will get your gaming experience going. The ROG Theta Electret on the other hand is a headset for the enthusiasts who takes audio seriously. These headphones have some revamped drivers where the Theta has 4 different drivers that drives the sound at different frequency to give the 7.1 surround effect whereas the Theta Electret uses both Traditional Driver and an electric driver to make the listening experience rather interesting.



ASUS ROG Strix SCAR and HERO has been an interesting series and this time around the laptop gets a whole new refresh – with new design that’s heavily inspired by their recent collaboration with BMW and has some interesting features going on such as being the World’s first laptop featuring a whopping 240Hz Display and a feature called Shadow Drive that unlocks a hidden encrypted drive where you can access and keep your personal files from prying eyes.
