If you were following our coverage on ROG from Computex, ASUS announced a bunch of products that really stood out – like the Glacier Blue Zephyrus S and Strix G. We even had the opportunity to take a look at the ROG Mothership, their beastly AIO. Well, guess what – it’s now here in Malaysia.
After a long wait, ASUS Malaysia has brought their one of a kind desktop replacement – the Mothership. The moment you look at it – it feels like a beefed up Surface but the Gaming kind. This thing is no joke. Under the hood, it’s powered by Intel 9th Generation Core i9-9980HK with NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080 with 8GB GDDR6. It comes with a 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB PCIe Gen 3×4 NVMe SSD configured in RAID 0.
Other than that, the laptop is constructed from a solid block of Aluminium, giving it the premium build quality. The Mothership has an improved airflow despite being in an AIO form factor. The Mothership comes in at 29.9mm, making it one thin machine to pack such specification. On the front, you’ll find the display – an Ultrafast FHD panel that can go upto 144Hz with 3ms response time.
Glacier Blue Glory | ROG Zephyrus S and Strix G
Back at Computex, we had the chance to see their new Glacier Blue finish on the Zephyrus GX502 and Strix G G531. Well, lucky for you – it has made into the Malaysian market. If you are someone who’s looking for a laptop that can stand out from the generic Red and Black or gamer-y finish for that matter, then look no further.
According to ASUS, “Glacier Blue unifies these concepts with a wintery look at first glance that becomes surprisingly saturated upon closer inspection.” If you were to ask us, it’s definitely is one refreshing color and looks gorgeous AF. As for the specification, you get some pretty decent specification – such as an RTX 2070 for the Zephyrus S and a GTX1650 with the Strix G.
ROG Huracan G21
Finally we have the amazingly compact 13-liter chassis gaming desktop – meet the new ROG Huracan G21. On the side, it has a rather interesting magnetic side cover which stands out from other gaming PCs out there. It sure is one heck of a looker. But it works too because opening up the side covers allow better air flow and activates the sensors found inside the system to give a boost in GPU and CPU performance respectively – 11% and 8% to be specific.
Theres nothing to worry about the specification because it gets the best treatment possible with an option of either Core-i9 or an i5 Processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080/2060, 16GB RAM and 2TB HDD + 256/512GB M.2. SSD respectively.
