Huawei, the Chinese Smartphone brand has unveiled their all new Smartphone, the Huawei Nova 5T Globally and Malaysia is the first country to get it. Here’s what you need to know about the new Nova 5T Smartphone.

Huawei Nova 5T

The Huawei Nova 5T is the successor to the Nova 4 which was announced earlier this year for the Malaysian Market. On the front, the phone houses a 6.26” FHD+ all-view display which offers a 91.7% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone rocks their in-house processor, the Hisilicon Kirin 980, an octa-core processor clocked in at 2.6GHz. It’s coupled with an 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal storage.


One of the highlights about the Nova 5T is the Camera. It comes with a Quad Camera setup – a Primary 48MP Sensor, followed by a 16MP Ultra Wide, a 2MP Macro and 2MP Depth Sensor. On the front, you’ll see that it has a 32MP Selfie shooter. Finally, the phone has a 3750mAh battery which can be charged extremely fast with the help of Huawei SuperCharge that has the capability to drive power at 22.5W.

Pricing and Availability

The Huawei Nova 5T comes in three different colors – Midsummer Purple, Crush Blue and Black. The phone will be available for pre-order starting on the 29th August, at Huawei Online Official Store and through their dedicated pre-order site. The phone will be sold for RM 1599.

For those who makes a pre-order during the duration of 29th August and 5th September, will be entitled for exclusive gifts worth RM325 – Huawei Mini Speaker and a SuperCharge in-car charger. If you were to purchase it from 29th August till 31st September, you will also be entitled for an extended 1-year warranty as well.

HUAWEI Nova 5T Roadshow


Consumers will be able to get a closer look at their new Nova 5T at their upcoming Roadshow that will be happening nationwide. It will be starting on the 29th August at the following places:

  • Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru
  • Imago, Kota Kinabalu
  • The Spring, Kuching
  • KB Mall, Kota Bharu

It will also be happening at Sunway Pyramid on the August 31st and Sunway Carnival Mall, Perai on the September 3rd.
