Less than a year ago, the Honor Magic Watch smartwatch was unveiled, and the company is now back with a follow-up, in the form of the Honor Magic Watch 2.
Focusing on Sports
Just like its predecessor, the Honor Magic Watch 2 has an enclosure made of refined 316L stainless steel, a material commonly used in the aerospace industry. According to Honor, this should make the watch less susceptible to nicks and scratches throughout daily routines. The devices comes in two sizes, 42mm and 46mm, though Malaysia will be receiving the larger of the two first. On the front, there’s a circular 1.39-inch AMOLED display, while the 42mm version comes with a 1.2-inch display.
In terms of battery life, the 46mm variant is able to deliver up to 14 days of use with all features enabled. Powering the entire setup is the new Huawei Kirin A1 processor. It also comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage. Honor is focusing on fitness this time around, and has included 15 goal-based fitness modes with voice-guidance. Other features include 5 ATM water-resistance rating of up to 50 meters, GPS, and also an altimeter. On top of that, the Honor Magic Watch 2 is able to track your performance when you swim, and will take into account heart rate, distance, calories, and speed. Sleeping patterns and stress levels can also be monitored via this smartwatch.
Pricing & Availability
The Honor Magic Watch 2 is priced at RM 699, and will be available from 20th December 2019 in Charcoal Black. Meanwhile, the Flax Brown variant will be available at a later date for RM 749. At the moment, only the 46mm version will be available. However, Honor Malaysia will be bringing in the smaller smartwatch soon.
