Acer has released products throughout its entire portfolio at CES 2020, and for its convertible notebook lineup, it’s being represented by the Acer Spin 3 and Acer Spin 5.

Tablet, Notebook & Display

Both the Acer Spin 3 and Acer Spin 5 are quite similar, though the Spin 5 is equipped with added features. The two devices sport a compact aluminium body, coupled with a 360 degree hinge, allowing it to be used in many form factors. Also, both support Acer Active stylus, allowing users to perform a wide-range of tasks such as drawing, and designing. The Spin 3 and Spin 5 weigh in at 1.5KG, and 1.2KG respectively.

When it comes to specs, the lineup features the latest 10th gen Intel Core processors, with Core i3-1005G1, Core i5-1035G1, and the Core i5-1035G4  available on the Spin 3. Meanwhile, the Spin 5 gets the Core i5-1035G4 and the Core i7-1065G7. Intel Iris Plus graphics is available on all variants. When it comes to display, the Spin 3 sports a 14-inch FHD 16:9 touch panel, while the Spin 5 comes with a smaller 13.5-inch 2K display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. Memory configuration is LPDDR4X RAM up to 16 GB and PCIe storage options from 256 GB up to 1 TB, on both models. Keeping the lights on is a 48 Wh battery on the Spin 3, and a 56 Wh battery on the Spin 5. Both batteries support fast charging.

Similarly, the notebooks are equipped with Wi-Fi 6, optional backlit keyboard, a Acer Active Wacom AES pen, and Acer TrueHarmony audio. Port selections are the same across the board, though the Spin 5 does benefit with a couple extra ports, including an additional Thunderbolt 3, and a HDMI 2.0 port.

Pricing & Availability

The Acer Spin 3 will be available in EMEA in February, and in North America sometime in April. It’s priced at €649, and USD$699 respectively. As for the Acer Spin 5, it will be available in EMEA in March for €999, and in North America for USD$899, in June.
