It’s no surprise that Malaysia has been one of the focused market for Huawei in the recent times and that said, their new Nova series smartphone is about to hit the Malaysian shores real soon. The Huawei Nova 7i is their new successor to the Nova series and to address the elephant in the room, yes – it’s the second smartphone from the brand with Huawei Mobile Services instead of GMS followed by the Mate 30 Series, which was announced last year.
HUAWEI Nova 7i
The upcoming Nova 7i features a 6.4” Full HD IPS Display under the hood with a display ratio of 83.5% to give that near bezel-less experience possible. The brand has made things smarter by making including a physical fingerprint sensor on the side rather than opting in for an underglass setup.
Under the hood, it features the latest HiSilicon Kirin 810 Processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Memory. The brand claims to offer an expandable storage but what makes it a little odd is that it will be a nano memory card slot – up to 256GB. If you are wondering what is Nano Memory Card – it’s the Memory card Huawei announced with the Mate 20 Series back in 2018, which looks like a SIM card. Do take note, it’s a proprietary memory card from the Chinese giant.
One of the key feature about the 7i is the camera setup – what appears to be a Quad Camera setup. On the back it has a 48MP sensor with support for Ultrawide and Macro. Speaking of the Wide sensor, it has a 26mm sensor to capture more without the need to take a step or two back.
Finally for the battery, it has a whopping 4200 mAh Battery and this coupled with the 40W Supercharge to meet your needs.
Pricing and Availability
As for now, the Huawei Nova 7i will be announced on the 14th February 2020 but as for the Malaysian Market, we received an update from HUAWEI Malaysia that it’s not certain yet – with that said, we will update as soon as we get more information on this.
