One of the few brands to announce a foldable smartphone last year was Huawei and this year, they seem to be on track and announcing their second foldable device for the year. Meet the new Huawei Mate Xs – and here’s what you need to know about it.
Huawei Mate Xs
One obvious thing about the Huawei Mate Xs would be the display as it’s a foldable device. With that said, the new Huawei Mate Xs rocks an 8-inch display which folds into a 6-inch smartphone. It doesn’t end there – they have also introduced a new hinge to go along with the device – which they call it the Falcon Wing Hinge which claims to be sturdier and tougher with the help of a Zirconium-based Liquid Metal. It doesn’t even end there – the device is covered in a double aerospace-grade optical polyimide.
In terms of specification, the device rocks the new Kirin 990 Processor with 7nm Structure with 5G Support to make things future proof. Not just that, it also supports HUAWEI’s new TUV Rheinland 55W Superfast Charging as well. To keep things cool, they have also added a cooling technology made out of malleable graphite material. The device rocks a Quad Camera – a 40MP Main Camera, 16MP Ultra Wide, 8MP Telephoto sensor and a 3D Depth Sensing Camera.
As you all know by now – the new Huawei Mate Xs is one of the phones to feature the new Huawei Mobile Services, on top of Android 10 with EMUI 10 as well. Which means the Google service is no more but with the AppGallery, you have a plethora of access to their up and coming application
