Earlier, Xiaomi Malaysia announced their new Redmi Note 9S, quite a successor with a pretty darn competitive price tag to begin with – we did a “9 Things to know” which you can click here to read more about it. Aside from that, it’s no surprise that Xiaomi has ecosystem products and so, they announced two products and one of it is the Xiaomi Smart Compact Projector and I want one.

Mi Smart Compact Projector

The specification is pretty darn decent and the fact that it has some nifty trick up it’s sleeves, makes me want it more. The compact projector can output 1080p High Definition resolution, all thanks to it’s four-channel LED source which is capable of 500 ANSI lumens. Don’t worry about setting a focus because it has auto-focus built right into it to ensure the sharpness. The size of the projection can be adjusted from 60” to 120”, which in my opinion is pretty darn big alright.

They have built a large, high-sensitivity speakers right into it with support for DOLBY Audio and DTS Decoding and if you want to use your very own speaker setup – by all means, as it has Bluetooth support. What really caught my attention with this projector – is the fact that it has Android TV 9.0 baked right into it with Built-in Google Assistant. That means, you are getting a complete package in an extremely small form factor – making it a very appealing projector to begin with.

On the back, you have inputs like DC IN, Audio Jack, USB Port and HDMI – which makes the whole projector a lot more versatile than you’d expect. Other than that, you get HDR10 Video Decoding, Smart Heat dissipation and a Dual-band Wi-Fi built right into it.

Pricing and Availability

The Mi Smart Compact Projector is hitting the Malaysian market real soon and with that said, it’s priced at RM1899 which in my opinion is just – wow. We have no details on the availability, but when it is made official – you’ll hear from us. Like seriously, we really want one. IT’S SO CUTE.
