VALORANT, the tactical shooter video game from Riot Games, now has a launch date on 2nd June 2020 as confirmed by the company. The Closed Beta will come to an end on 28th May 2020 to allow the team to reset player accounts, patch new content and prepare for the beginning of VALORANT’s worldwide launch. When the game goes live officially, players of the competitive shooter will begin anew and progress from the same starting line as other players.

For the uninitiated, VALORANT is a free-to-play competitive 5-versus-5 character-based tactical shooter by Riot Games optimised to perform on a wide range of PC hardware. The game is described as being a lethal and precise multiplayer game featuring high-fidelity gunplay, extensive range of armaments, agents with unique abilities and maps designed for competitive play good for thousands of hours of gaming. Riot Games is committed to preserving the core tenets of tactical shooters and competitive integrity.

The VALORANT team promised to deliver new content, game modes, agents and maps soon after launch; while the parent company Riot Games moves to prioritise additional new game servers to lower latency for the expected increment in players.

VALORANT will launch in South East Asia on PC and comes with multiple languages including English, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai and Traditional Chinese, with Vietnamese scheduled to come later this year.
