Following the much anticipated and hyped global launch of NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX GPUs a few weeks ago, ASUS Malaysia announces the availability of the most powerful generation of graphics processors yet as interpreted by its TUF division, in particular the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 models.

Taking apart the reference design by NVIDIA, the TUF division redesigned much of its components for a better cooling and subsequently better performance by the means of higher clock speeds than stock. The graphics processing unit and the video memory modules are given individual heatsinks for better heat exchange, and all these are secured with a bracket that provides a consistent mounting pressure between the die and heat spreader.
Three axial-tech fans with dual ball bearings each are tuned for optimised air flow and support for zero fan spin when GPU temperatures are low. Nothing on the TUF Gaming RTX 3080 is without purpose, with the backplate of the GPU providing structural strength and features a vent that allows for hot air to be exhausted towards the case fans to faster dissipation instead of being recycled by the GPU fans. Components for the TUF version of NVIDIA’s RTX cards were chosen with durability in mind and as such, meet military-grade certifications to stand out from their competition. Even the automated Auto-Extreme manufacturing process is designed to ensure proper component placement and secure attachment, before being sent for a 144-hour trial to countercheck and validate its performance. A Dual Bios switch is included for easy change of the card’s default performance profiles without software.
