BenQ has a strong presence in the Monitor and Projector division for the longest and they are definitely up there with some of the leading manufacturers as well. That said, we have known them for their vast lineup of monitors and today they are announcing a new lineup, a Gaming one actually – the MOBIUZ. Sounds like something that came right out of Evil Within Game but is it as cool as it sounds – let’s find out.

BenQ MOBIUZ EX2510 and BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710

The MOBIUZ EX Series comes in two different sizes: EX2510 and EX2710, just as the model number depicts, it’s a 25” and 27” Monitor we are talking about. It gets better, as these monitors are equipped with FHD IPS Panel that has the capability to produce really good contrast and color details, thanks to their HDRi technology which is proprietary to BenQ. Since it is a gaming monitor, it comes with AMD FreeSync Premium with 144Hz Refresh Rate and a 1ms response time. As for the audio, BenQ has built in speakers – two 2.5W speakers and a DSP with three different sound modes: Game, Cinema and Pop/Live.

As for the control of the monitor, it uses a 5-Way Navigator to access the OSD settings and it even comes with Scenario Mapping – since you can hook it up with your PC or even your console for that matter, with the help of Quick OSD, users can take advantage of the presets so it automatically adjusts accordingly. Finally, if you are wondering about the input – well, lucky for you the MOBIUZ has 4 input: 2x HDMI, 1x DP1.2 and 1x 3.5mm Port for audio rerouting.

Pricing and Availability

The MOBIUZ EX2710 is readily available in Malaysia for a price of RM 1499 which is a really good price tag whereas the EX2510 has no official Malaysian pricing – but it should be noted that the monitor might be priced equivalent to RM1050~ according to the US Price conversion.
