ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) dropped the bomb and announced a collaboration with internationally acclaimed technical apparel design agency ACRONYM to design a special edition ROG Zephyrus G14 that embodies a new appearance for technology while housing top tier hardware for the users who wants it all.

Having worked with companies such as Nike and Arc’Teryx for product design, Square Enix/EIDOS for virtual reality gaming gear as well as their own portfolio of apparel featuring a dedication to a fusion of singular style and technology. Since its founding in 1994, ACRONYM has been a pioneer in technical apparel design and is committed to top shelf materials transformed into utilitarian designs.
Working in tandem with fellow designer David Rudnick, ACRONYM co-founder Errolson Hugh brought in talents from Terrain to prototype a design language that involves every aspect of the ROG Zephyrus G14. It is a match made in heaven, with ROG’s ideal of premium gaming hardware that is customizable and ACRONYM’s belief that aesthetic expression is a form of freedom, together every gamer can express themselves and share their own story their way.
ROG Zephyrus G14
The ROG Zephyrus G14 is a natural choice for the collaboration and ACRONYM’s first gaming hardware design, with its impressive hardware components and a built quality to match for the enthusiasts. Featuring a tried-and-true AMD Ryzen 9 CPU featuring 8-cores and 16 processing threads, the Zephyrus G14 also packs a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 so content creation and gaming can be achieved with ease. A slick 14.1” IPS display with Pantone certification for colour accuracy and Adaptive Sync variable refresh rate allows for smooth gaming.
ASUS spared no resource in designing the Zephyrus G14, utilizing high-end materials such as magnesium alloy for the keyboard deck and aluminium used for the lid to keep the weight down and durability up. That and the AniMe MatrixTM LED display on the lip allows users to customize it however they want and show to others who they are, making it a perfect template for ACRONYM to work on. The result? The ROG ZEPHYRUS G14 ACRNM RMT01.

Custom materials and complex manufacturing processes have been employed extensively to bring the Zephyrus G14 ACRNM RMT01 to life. With recision etchings to show off the technicalities in manufacturing, carbon black surfaces that camouflages itself and exclusive eight ACRONYM-designed AniMe Matrix animations, the ACRNM RMT01 is here to make a statement.
That’s not even all. The design extends to the product packaging, with a unique design that is also strong on sustainability and functionality. The ROG Zephyrus G14 ACRNM RMT01 will be available for purchase in Malaysia from October 2020 onwards, with pre-orders starting now. It features an AMD RyzenTM 9 4900HS, 32GBs of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTXTM 2060 Max-Q, a 14.1” WQHD 60Hz IPS display and a 1TB PCIe Gen 3 M.2 SSD. The ACRNM RMT01 is not designed for the faint-hearted and commands a steep MSRP of RM 11,999, but if anyone out there with 12 thousand ringgit burning a hole in the pocket and is looking for something that exudes personality by itself, look no further.
