The Gaming smartphone scene just got a whole lot interesting because Lenovo Malaysia has finally unveiled their long awaited Lenovo Legion Phone Duel which is finally here in Malaysia and will be available for Pre-order starting this 26th October but before that, let’s take a look at the phone itself.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel
The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel is a gaming smartphone from Lenovo themselves which falls under their gaming division, just like how ASUS did with their ROG Phone. And just like any other gaming smartphone, it touts the best in class specification under the hood to deliver the best gaming experience on mobile – pretty much one could ask for. It comes with a 6.59” 144Hz AMOLED Display with a 144Hz refresh rate and upto 240Hz touch sampling rate for the best response possible. Under the hood is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor with RAMs upto 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and capacity as high as 512GB UFS 3.1 respectively.
The whole idea behind the name “Duel” is to bring Dual architecture on their gaming smartphone. That said, they have split the batteries into two equal halves for better efficiency – It has a 5000mAh battery but split into 2500mAh each. This is done to have a good heat management so that users can play with the Legion Phone Duel for longer hours. Under the hood for the thermal, it comes with Dual-Liquid Heat Pipes, Graphite Sheets and Copper foils to manage a cool experience. The phone also features dual Type-c Charging port and includes a 65W Power brick which can charge the phone from 0 to 100 in just about 34 minutes.
A gaming phone becomes one, only when there are gaming centric features. That said, the Dual Shoulder Controls and the Dual Haptics offer better immersion and to give feedback in games that you choose to play. Finally, they offer a Dual Front-Facing Speaker to deliver good sound experience – all thanks to its 1.4cc acoustic chambers to give a 3D-like sound field. In the software division, they have included things like Dual Livestreaming where it takes advantage of the 20MP front facing camera to do a livestream of the game you play and Legion Realm is a hub where you can take advantage of the hardware and even the RGB, tweak it whichever way you like.
