Samsung A series smartphones offer the best-in-class experience which users really want – good display, camera, and a wonderful battery life. And since this is their mid-tier series, it has received a lot of good attention over the years and right now, the Korean smartphone company unveils the new lineup of devices – meet the Samsung Galaxy A52 and A72.

The Samsung Galaxy A52 and A72 gets a whole new look that’s a lot trendier and peppier with its new choice of colors. Just like how they went for a rather different camera design on the S21 Series, the A72 and A52 gets a unique design of its own – a minimal camera houses covered in this matte haze finish and will be available in 4 chic colors – Awesome Black, Violet, White and Blue.
As we mentioned earlier, Samsung is bringing back its once the A series was known for into the picture: Awesome Screen, Camera and Battery Life – all that packed in a nice package that’s priced good based on consumers choice. With that said, let’s start off with the camera.
On the back, you will find a Quad Camera setup on both the A52 and A72. Both the smartphones come equipped with three same sensors:
- 12MP Ultra-Wide
- 64MP Primary Sensor with OIS
- 5MP Macro
What’s different is that the 4th sensor on the A52 is a 5MP depth sensor whereas in the A72, you get a much better practical 8MP 3x AF OIS Camera. As for the front facing camera, the phone features a 32MP sensor, respectively. This time there are features that helps you take advantage of the camera further such as Scene Optimizer, Pro Video Mode and 4K Video Snap. Thanks to the new Tetra Binning technology, pictures taken at night is improved with the help of merging 4 pixels into one bigger pixels, therefore giving more light.
Next up, the display. If you wanted the high refresh rate experience, well, the new A52, A52 5G and A72 gets a better refresh rate. Both the A52 and A72 comes with 90Hz whereas the A52 5G comes with a 120Hz display instead. Just like the previous A series phones, the differences are just the display size – both the A52 and A52 5G comes with _ whereas the A72 uses a _. The brightness has been bumped to 800 nits, which means – its plenty bright.
As for the rest of the rest of the phone – it gets the IP67 rating – that means, take it for a dunk in the swimming pool, have a party, this phone can survive. Not just that, it can survive a long day as the A52 and A52 5G has a 4500mAh battery whereas the A72 has 500 extra, totaling up to 5000mAh. It also gets a new stereo speaker for good sound, bigger storage with expandability and Samsung’s promised 4 years of updates.
