The DC1500M, a U.2 data centre NVMe PCIe SSD for mixed-use applications, is now available from Kingston. The DC1500M has a high-speed Gen 3.0 x4 PCIe NVMe architecture to provide consistent random IO performance and latencies across a wide variety of applications.

Kingston’s new SSD is designed for long-term performance, with a high-speed Gen 3.0 x4 NVMe PCIe interface for high throughput and low latency in new and current data centre platforms. The drive has constant read/write latencies of 110 seconds and 206 seconds, respectively.

Furthermore, using the U.2 form factor allows current Gen 3.0 and Gen 4.0 servers and storage arrays to use existing PCIe slots and U.2 backplanes while preserving serviceability with hot-pluggable drives.

The new DC1500M drive builds on the success of earlier Kingston U.2 NVMe SSDs by including sophisticated enterprise-class capabilities that improve long-term performance in high-availability situations.

For enhanced data centre dependability, these features include end-to-end data route protection, multiple namespace management, power loss protection (PLP), and telemetry monitoring.

The DC1500M combines the DC1000B NVMe boot drive, VMware Ready DC500 series SATA SSDs, and the DC450R to provide the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of outstanding enterprise-class data centre storage solutions.
