Synology just released C2 Transfer, a new cloud solution for securely transferring information between businesses and their clients, partners, and other third parties.

Introducing Synology’s C2 Transfer

Synology’s on-premises storage solutions currently help enterprises and home users tackle data management problems including connecting remote teams and facilitating file sharing and collaboration.

Instead, C2 Transfer was created to address the last mile problem, which occurs when teams deliver crucial and potentially sensitive data to clients.

Even if a link is unintentionally published or shared with the wrong person, the storage solution keeps things simple for both sides while ensuring that files are always sent to the proper person.

To ensure that only the intended recipient can access the files, the storage solution sends a one-time password (OTP) to a sender-specified email address or phone number.

C2 Transfer uses end-to-end encryption to keep data secure, rendering files unreadable from the time they are uploaded by the client until they are safely downloaded onto a device by the intended receiver.

Synology’s new storage solution is meant to make delivering files to external partners and clients simple, especially for departments such as human resources, legal, manufacturing, finance, and marketing.

Image watermarks, download expiration dates, single-use downloads, and file requests are all built-in features of C2 Transfer.

C2 Transfer is available now with the Pro plan subscription, which includes solo accounts for smaller teams and freelancers. Larger organisations will soon have access to centrally administered plans.
