First Ambulance Services has used YTL Communications’ YES Fleet to deliver 4G-powered telemetry solutions since April 2020 and has seen a significant reduction in vehicle maintenance as well as improvements in driver and dispatch efficiency.

First Ambulance Services may communicate patient information and diagnostics from the ambulance to the hospital via YES Fleet’s in-vehicle Wi-Fi.

This collaboration is in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s objective to improve the overall efficiency and quality of emergency medical services in Malaysia.

Commenting on the companies’ collaboration in bringing 5G Smart Ambulance services, Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin said, “I am pleased to see First Ambulance Services has used YTL Communications working together to uplift the ambulance service standards in Malaysia using 5G.”

“Harnessing the power of 5G to use the time spent en route to the hospital to enable effective triage using real-time feeds of patient telemetry and medical imaging. In addition, 5G-based Extended Reality will transform the ways we care for the patients and save lives.”

I look forward to seeing broader adoption of 5G technology across all sectors in public health, including our hospitals.”
